At times we feel so rooted on Earth, planning our spring garden and watching the seedlings sprout. Other times the crackle and hum of ice breaking on the river, the harsh wind or fiery stars pull us out of ourselves to a deeper sense of belonging. I see the birds and feel kinship with their ability to live between worlds.
